The traffic control plan: where a safe work site starts

Before the first cone goes down, you need to know where and how to sign. The traffic control plan sets the position of signs, channelizing devices and flaggers based on the road layout, the speed and the type of closure.

McKinnon prepares unit plans for one-time jobs as well as plans for larger projects, whether they are being bid or already under way. When your project requires it, we provide a signed and sealed plan.

What we prepare

  • Unit traffic control plans
  • Traffic management plans for projects being bid or under way
  • Signed and sealed plans when required
  • Lane closure, contraflow and alternating traffic plans
  • Full closure plans with detour
  • Sidewalk, bike path, shoulder and parking lane plans
